How do you play 2 clips at the same time over the top of each other on Final Cut? It looks like a fade but its actually just two clips playing at once?

Use two video channels. You can mess around with the opacity of the top clip or just extend a fade over the whole clip.

drag your first clip onto the time line, then drag your second clip above (but not on) the first clip... then...
in the time line window there are three buttons at the bottom beside the scrollbar - click the second one in from the left, notice how the two clips now have black lines on them... move your mouse over the top of the second video clip and pull down the line (the cursor will change), as you do numbers will appear - you want this to be at 50 (or whatever you want), you can make this more accurate by holding down the apple key... render your footage, and bob's your transsexual auntie.
in the future i would also reccomend consulting the big book that came with it, it's called the manual!

Believe me, I looked throught the index about a million times looking for it but I didn't even know what it was called !! Thanks for your help guys ...
